The Modalities for Life course at King's College Seminary is a part of a comprehensive Masters in Theology program. This course is included in a three-year program where the first year covers required courses, the second year offers electives, and the third year involves a comprehensive exam and thesis defence.
This course is specifically designed for candidates seeking non-levitical qualifications under DAVT ordination. This unique approach complements the secular education provided by the Seminary, allowing students to pursue full ministerial accreditation under DAVT.
The non-levitical ordination under DAVT is a sacred undertaking, focusing on the character and identity of the individual rather than their function within the church, nation, or society. The course emphasizes a prophetic act that signifies the reception of the mandate and ministry ordained by God in that person, by an ecclesia.
The Modalities for Life course forms a key part of the seminary's mission to provide a well-rounded education in theology, fostering critical thinking, spiritual growth, and a deep understanding of theology.
“Do you want to know how you might win the culture war? It is to care for culture, it is to love your enemies, facing the devastation of ground zero. I have thought about that, struggled with it, and of course that is an impossibility. Of course that might be something that only an artist can say, because art is about making impossibilities possible, to give you a portal of this new vista that may not have existed before.” Makoto Fujimura, speaking to ARC Nov-1 2023

Your journey into the seven biblical archetypes will review several patterns of sevens as outlined in both Testaments, new and old beginning with Paul, then the “pattern revealed to Moses” in the tabernacle, then back to the garden with the seven notes in Adam (eyes, hands, ears, tongue, neck, head, heart) and backing round again to the New Testament:
This set of 7 modalities in Scripture are the essential conversations in life, learning and futures. They define a person’s experience of the Father through his Son empowered by the Holy Spirit. Without regard nationality, ethnicity, language or religion, these modal excellences lie at the heart of Christian doctrine, the doctrine of self-mastery in Christ, the final frontier in a theology that helps gifted individuals discover genius by modalities.
