Ep 4. Thyatira

The spirit of Thyatira, a city of faith, encourages perseverance and provides divine favor. This spirit, referred to as Parakaleton, advocates for its followers, enabling them to endure life's tests and opening up opportunities for growth. It also acts as a catalyst for achieving desired outcomes from heaven’s viewpoint. However, even in such a spirit-led environment, there can be resistance against God and His Word, as seen in the case of Lot’s wife.

The fifth church in the book of Revelation is Thyatira. According to this tradition, the spirit of prejudice is one of the obstacles that the church was facing, and it was suggested that seeking counsel or advice can help overcome it. The term "paracleton" refers to a counsellor or advocate, which can be interpreted as seeking guidance or support from someone higher in intelligence or a subject matter expert.

Thyatira, City of Faith: The source codes of order in the family. The Spirit brings times of refreshing and makes me lay down in green pastures as divine favour comes in a most unusual and unsolicited way beyond what we ask for or even imagine. The spirit of Thyatira comes alongside to scaffold the fresh and constructive idea asking all the right questions you need to consider as to what makes life worth living and why tomorrow will be better than yesterday.

Modal excellence : The advocate that opens up opportunities for you to pass the test, who understands your pressure points and arranges a way of escape. He is your lawyer who defends you when your conscience condemns and the one who enables you to fight the good fight and to finish the race. Parakaleton battles for inclusion of the solitary into the family of God.

DNA of the Parakaleho: One who encourages others to persevere until the finish when ever the going gets tough and the goals seems out of reach, you are the scaffolding that doesn’t get taken down until the project is complete and the project comes to a full stop.

Ecclesial archetype, Tongues: “Each of you has a tongue” (1 Cor 14:26) that opens up new conversations and fresh perspectives inviting Jesus to speak into circumstances of life, learning and futures where the human intellect and corporate agreement fail to produce the results we were hoping to achieve.

Natural endowment of Perseverance: Perseverance is the catalytic facilitator in desired outcomes from heaven’s point of view. The small still voice enables you to go places you never thought possible, to crush enemies many times your strength, to overcome circumstances beyond what you could ask or imagine setting the example for others to experience God’s love and pass it on.

Genius of encouragment: “If I speak in the tongues of men…” (1 Cor 13) - one called alongside as the Paracletos who scaffolds new ideas in fresh and creatives ways opening the door to a new season through spontaneous, spiritual speech that embraces human potential to help the weak endure tough times until the breakthrough comes.

Blindspot in Abraham: Who is the go-between in negotiating a settlement when the rebel falls short. Thus Abraham argues for the life of his nephew. And for the sake of one, God relents. The ungrateful soul however continues in league with those to transgress the cosmic order, whose resisistance against God and his Word brings him into the spotlight of God’s wrath and severity.

Case Study: Vichy's compromise during Hitler's blitzkrieg across Europe had dire consequences for the Jews caught in the middle. Modern historians examine the concessions made during this three-year tribulation, which included responses to the advancing German troops in the form of French resistance. These historical events prompted two diametrically opposite reactions: collaboration and resistance.

In the city of faith, Thyatira, encouragement plays a crucial role and acts as the source code of order in family structures. It is here that the Spirit provides refreshing interludes and lays down a metaphorical green pasture for its followers, bringing divine favour in unexpected and unsolicited ways, far beyond our expectations or imaginations. The spirit of Thyatira thus comes alongside to scaffold fresh and constructive ideas, asking the vital questions that lead us to ponder what makes life worth living and why we can look forward to a better tomorrow.

This spirit also embodies modal excellence expressed in perseverance, acting as an advocate that opens up opportunities for its followers to endure and pass life's tests. This advocate understands the pressure points of its followers and arranges a way of escape. Acting like a lawyer, the spirit defends you when your conscience condemns, enabling you to fight the good fight and finish the race. This angel, referred to as Parakaleton, battles for the inclusion of the solitary into the family of God.

The spirit of Thyatira can be thought of as the DNA of the Parakaleton, a spiritual being who encourages others to persevere until the finish line, especially during tough times when goals seem out of reach. This spirit of encouragement acts as the scaffolding that remains in place until the project is complete and comes to a full stop.
