Associate Dean, Academic Affairs (Honorary)
King's College Seminary is seeking an Associate Dean, Academic Affairs to serve in an honorary capacity across our trauma-informed, scripture-driven, Spirit-led free school with multiple locations throughout Asia. This position embodies our commitment to holistic theological education that honors both academic rigor and spiritual formation.
Position Overview:
The Associate Dean, Academic Affairs serves as a vital part of the seminary leadership team, working closely with the Dean to nurture academic and faculty affairs that align with our Kingdom-centered educational approach. This honorary role assists in coordinating and implementing academic programs through a trauma-informed lens while ensuring our curriculum remains deeply rooted in Scripture and responsive to the Holy Spirit's guidance across diverse Asian contexts.
Core Responsibilities:
Academic Administration (30%)
- Partner with the Dean and Seminary Gate leadership in strategic planning that honors both academic excellence and spiritual formation
- Serve on the Seminary's leadership team to ensure integrated approaches across all educational offerings
- Oversee course creation and development that incorporates trauma-informed pedagogy and contextual approaches to theological education
- Facilitate relationships with relevant accrediting bodies while maintaining our distinctive educational approach
- Attend gatherings, conferences, and learning communities that enhance our ministry-focused educational model
- Steward resources for academic programs and faculty development across multiple geographic contexts
Faculty Relations and Support (40%)
- Serve on educational committees to ensure curriculum remains Scripture-centered and Spirit-led
- Collaborate with faculty to develop teaching approaches that honor diverse learning styles and cultural contexts
- Facilitate curriculum assessment that measures both academic growth and spiritual/ministerial formation
- Work with regional coordinators to ensure course offerings meet the needs of students across diverse Asian contexts
- Foster faculty development opportunities that strengthen both academic excellence and spiritual vitality
- Coordinate educational partnerships across the Oikos network to maximize learning opportunities
