Design Thinking: Self & Development
Workshop Objective:
The objective is to enrich the trainees' self-awareness, encouraging them to delve deeper into their personalities and recognise their unique abilities and strengths. Furthermore, it is essential to develop their understanding of the critical role they play within a team, how their individual contributions can make a significant impact, and how their actions can influence the overall success of the team. This process will involve cultivating an environment that promotes growth, learning, and personal and professional development.
Session Breakdown:
- Introduction (5 minutes): We will start with a brief introduction focusing on the significance of self-awareness and team dynamics in both personal and professional growth. This will include discussing how these factors can impact individual performance as well as overall team productivity.
- Self-Reflection Activity (20 minutes): This will be an individual activity where participants are encouraged to delve deep into their own personality traits and work styles. They will reflect on their strengths and weaknesses, understanding how these attributes play a role in their personal and professional lives.
- Plenary Discussion (20 minutes): In this segment, participants will listen to a lecture on the 7 gifts (modalities), observe and confirm which modality they most resonate with. The primary purpose of this activity is to allow individuals to reflect on their behaviors and be able to understand themselves better.
- LIC (20 minutes): Selected participants will present their Life Impact Statements and the facilitator will help ensure that the Life Statement reflects the person’s modality and define the person’s calling/mission in the most accurate way possible.
- Q & A (20 minutes): This portion of time will allow participants to ask questions, clarify things and enquire about the course.
- Wrap-up (5 minutes): To conclude the workshop, we will have a wrap-up session to recap the key points discussed during the event. This will provide participants with an opportunity to consolidate their learnings.
