Fellowship of Theology, Family and Human Formation presents
A five-day formation pilgrimage through Fukuoka, Sotome and Nagasaki, exploring the witness of Japan’s hidden Christians through place, story, prayer, historical study and communal reflection.

The tour asks how faith is received, preserved, formed and shared when public confession is costly and Christian life must endure across generations.
Within the MODS × Architecture of Life frame, this is not a personality-typing excursion or an attempt to assign historical figures to modalities. It is a situated inquiry into how gifted being becomes faithful practice:
RECEIVED GIFT → FORMED LIFE → SHARED FRUIT → FULLNESS IN ONENESS
Participants will examine how conviction, mercy, service, teaching, encouragement, giving and leadership may contribute to a body under pressure—while keeping gift, role, office, calling and mature fruit distinct.
How does received faith become a formed, embodied and generative life when witness is constrained by fear, persecution, silence or social pressure?
The tour will use the MODS × AoL source-code discipline:

Research posture: derive first; compare second. Historical examples will be treated as witnesses and exemplars—not as automatic proof of a MODS correspondence or a universal theory.

Encounter the testimony of the hidden Christians through sites, artefacts, local scholarship and Endō Shūsaku’s Silence. Ask what reached these communities before later interpretation, and what patterns persisted across place and time.
