Overview
The Oikos Fellowship supports academic excellence, spiritual formation, and community engagement. A Board Member helps govern the Fellowship and provide oversight for King’s College Singapore at the Seminary Gate.
Key responsibilities
- Governance
- Attend Board meetings and contribute to decisions.
- Help ensure the Fellowship follows legal requirements and internal policies.
- Review and improve policies to strengthen transparency and accountability.
- Strategy and oversight
- Help set long-term priorities for the Fellowship and King’s College Singapore.
- Review programs and initiatives and recommend improvements.
- Identify opportunities for growth, partnerships, and better operations.
- Regency (College oversight)
- Act as a bridge between the Board and College leadership.
- Support academic and community programs that align with mission and values.
- Advocate for students, faculty, and staff in Board discussions.
- Community and fundraising
- Build relationships with alumni, donors, and community stakeholders.
- Represent the Fellowship and College at key events.
- Support fundraising and resource development where appropriate.
- Financial stewardship
- Review budgets and financial reporting.
- Monitor financial performance against approved plans.
Qualifications
- Clear commitment to the mission and values of the Oikos Fellowship and King’s College Singapore.
- Experience in governance (nonprofit, education, ministry, or similar).
- Strong collaboration, communication, and judgment.
- Comfortable with budgets and basic financial oversight.
