Purpose (Dean’s Office Focus)
King’s College Seminary is entering a new season of formation where theological depth and public relevance must travel together. The present concentration of the Dean’s Office is to strengthen graduate research and degree outcomes so that recipients of the MA in Theology and PhD in Public Theology:
- Produce scholarship that is faithful to Scripture and tradition.
- Serve the generational leadership and voice of tomorrow—which is already emerging in the present.
- Build a living bridge between Church, academy, and society, especially in the public square.
- Contribute research that advances the Kingdom Business Ecosystem (KBE)—a practical ecology of mission, ethics, enterprise, community transformation, and cultural renewal.
This page reframes our earlier “higher order theological thinking” conversation into a research-forward blueprint: we are not reinventing the wheel; we are adapting proven theological education models for today’s context, and innovating where the Spirit and the times require it.
What we mean by the Kingdom Business Ecosystem (KBE)
The Kingdom Business Ecosystem is the network of people, practices, and platforms through which Kingdom value is created and sustained across generations. It includes:
- Theology & formation (wisdom, character, spiritual maturity)
- Public theology (engagement with policy, culture, justice, education, media)
- Vocation & enterprise (marketplace discipleship, ethical leadership, stewardship)
