Receiving the Cloak of Humility. [Col 3:12, Rom 12:14, 1Pt 5:5]
This is a generational mantle, meaning we can inherit and pass it on. Humility is the character of the Kingdom as it is a posture of sacrificial love and other-centredness that produces unity and oneness.
Without deep humility we have no defence in the battle waging around us, because the war is beyond us and requires God’s continuous presence and work just to stand. Humility dismantles the traps of pride operating in our life. Some are known but many are disguised as we justify to ourselves what may not be allowed or given by God as “good for food.” As with Job and Joseph, humility brings us to the limit and end of human reasoning, and opens us to God’s higher perspective. His instruction by severe constraints become our guideposts of restraint when the appointed time finally comes and we are raised to positions of authority.
The spirit of humility is a posture of seeking and waiting, as an act of continuous worship. We bow before the God of all wisdom seated on the throne, and await His decrees. We press in for understanding as Daniel did in Dan 10, until the Angel of Revelation comes through with the instruction we need. We will only seek Revelation if we are clothed in humility, and we can only receive it without attracting judgment if we are clothed in humility.
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power to prevail. Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth yielded its crops. ~ James 5:16-18
The river of fire is here to cleanse and purify us, to make us holy as He is holy so we can carry more of His presence. Our cloak of humility leads us to present our families and the next generation as a colt that would usher in His Glory.
Then they brought him to Jesus. And they threw their own clothes on the colt, and they set Jesus on him. ~ Luke 19:35
May His Word be a River of Fire to you as you respond to His invitation in this hour, to seek His face for Family and Nation🔥
