<aside> 👑 “Personally, both Eleanor and I have been incredibly blessed by the modalities and use them almost daily when working with our clients. In the past, whilst coaching clients, I've used tools commonly used by corporates, such as MBTI and DISC.  Using the secularised modalities has given me the cutting edge in being able to bring out the best in my clients, and it also helped me navigate both my and their blindspots. This 4 part series was born from the combined experience of both Eleanor and my own daily work in coaching and helping clients breakthrough, and we hope to also provide an alternative in the leadership market with a holistic view of leadership, with strong undercurrents of biblical principles” - Cheyenne Seah & Eleanor Tay

The mega-trends of work from home, coupled with mass resignation, the gig economy, etc has led to a booming online coaching / mentoring industry- that tell us people are searching for truth. This “Secular Discourse” seeks to describe this phenomenon from the perspective of archetypes and patterns which I am calling “modalities”.

It was a word given me in 2017 while walking down the streets of Zurich, the same streets Carl Jung and his disciples walked in the last century. I asked myself, what is the role of psychoanalysis in Christian discipleship, if ever?

I began to realise that psychiatry was beginning to show “cracks” and signs of severe wear and tear. The works of Freud and Jung were a valid field of study (“human formation”) but we Christians could do a much better job of diagnosing the human condition beginning with the soul. Hence, this “secular discourse” to start the conversation going but around biblical principles.

Cheyenne Seah and Eleanor Tay are two modalities researchers at the forefront as we transition into a new kairos season that has led to the formation of an Institute of Theology, Families and Human Formation offering BTh and MDiv programs for marketplace leaders looking to lead society into the Third Millennium A.D.

This is an opportunity to examine the meta-narrative of the human soul and targeted at millennials, gen z, etc in answer to some of life’s biggest questions:

What keeps you up at night?

What makes life worth living?

What lies are we believing since childhood?

What makes life worth living?

Why is tomorrow infinitely better than yesterday?
