Matriculation Process for those in the Senior Term in the M.A. (Theology) Scholars Program

Eligibility

Prospective senior-candidates must have at least 10 years of service record and aim to complete their studies within the next 3 to 5 years according to the timeline set in Lev 19:23-25.

Prerequisites

To be eligible for matriculation, candidates must complete the following modules:

Interlinear Studies (M1)

The Interlinear Studies (M1) module is designed to equip M.A. (Theology) candidates with a foundational understanding of Greek New Testament interpretation. This curriculum spans foundational to advanced topics over a 15-week period, integrating various milestones to ensure comprehensive learning.

Key components of the curriculum include:

  1. Introduction and the Greek Alphabet: Candidates are introduced to the Greek Alphabet and its comparison to the English Alphabet, laying the groundwork for further studies.
  2. Letter Combinations and Pronunciation: Students learn how Greek letters combine to form words and practice the pronunciation of Greek words and letters.
  3. Common Greek Words in the New Testament: Exploration of commonly occurring words in the New Testament within various contexts.
  4. Introduction to Greek Grammar: Basic Greek grammar patterns are taught, highlighting their importance in understanding the text.
  5. Interpreting Basic Greek Sentences: Practice in interpreting simple Greek sentences from the New Testament, utilizing Words Occurring lists.
  6. Greek Vocabulary Building: Building on commonly occurring Greek words, understanding their usage in different contexts.
