Executive assessment

The Study Accelerator is not merely an intensive course. It is a core delivery and evidence mechanism for the graduate programme: a bounded learning cycle in which students identify a real challenge, organise themselves around it, apply theological and professional knowledge, produce an artefact, receive critique, and demonstrate transfer into ministry, community, or marketplace practice.

Working definition

A Study Accelerator is a bounded, usually 100-hour, challenge-based learning cycle that produces both graduate-level learning evidence and a useful intervention in a real ministry, community, or professional context.

Graduate-degree pathway

• Entry: establish readiness, vocation, context, and an “I help…to…by…” statement.
• Formation: complete progressively demanding projects through self-organised inquiry, collaboration, fieldwork, reflection, and iterative delivery.
• Comprehensive examination: synthesise theology, modalities, spiritual formation, human formation, and duty of care through a cumulative portfolio.
• Thesis preparation: convert a field challenge into a research problem, intervention, or senior project with evidence and methodology.
• Graduation: demonstrate theological mastery, research competence, contextual wisdom, ethical maturity, and practical transfer before cap ’n gown.

Interpretation

• 85–100: distinction-level Accelerator; suitable for thesis or advanced placement
• 70–84: successful graduate-level completion
• 55–69: developmental pass; remediation required
• Below 55: incomplete or insufficient evidence
