Joseph was the son of Jacob was sold into slavery by his own brothers, but he eventually rose to become a powerful figure in Egypt, second only to Pharaoh himself. Along the way, he demonstrated his ability to interpret dreams and gain insights into the future.

One of the most famous stories involving Joseph's prophetic abilities is his interpretation of Pharaoh's dreams. In the dreams, Pharaoh saw seven fat cows being devoured by seven skinny cows, and seven healthy ears of grain being consumed by seven withered ears of grain. Joseph correctly interpreted the dreams as predicting seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine. He then provided a plan to store grain during the years of plenty so that Egypt would have enough to survive the years of famine.

Through his prophetic insights, Joseph was able to save Egypt and the surrounding regions from starvation during the famine. He was also able to reconcile with his brothers, who had sold him into slavery, and bring them and their families to Egypt to live.

It allowed him to create a better future for himself and those around him, even in the face of great adversity.
