How we discern and respond to God’s moves in a new season also determines if we become victims or over-comers of various trials, casualties of compromise or commanders of vision. Our battle readiness is the sum of faith, hope and love in action. Be filled with the zeal of the Lord, as you lay hold of the revelation of God’s sovereign purposes for the hour. When Chronos meets Kairos by Paul Khoo (Sun 23 Oct)
“When Chronos meets Kairos” is a message about Times and Seasons as we make room for God act in ever-increasing glory. These things have been written down as a meta-narrative of his love toward his family, to the Jew first and also to the Gentiles, a grand-narrative of time, space and the story of the literature, history and theology of the historic Christian faith.
Rev Paul Khoo takes us on an epic journey through 5 millennia of divine favour as grain for bread is crushed, through the vicissitudes of kings and kingdoms as the gospel of the Kingdom expands outward from Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth.
This is God’s grand-narrative that is told through the covenants with his own Hebraic priests who calculated the first coming of Messiah before the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem and, from Roman times onward throughout the various cosmic disturbances and signs in the heavens until this present age.
We are at the tail end of a succession of movements and cycles embedded in the sacred calendar of the Jews, and finally unveiled for those with eyes to see.
