The Director of Contextual Education at King's College Seminary plays a pivotal role in the holistic formation of future church leaders. This position, reporting to the President for Non-Levitical Formation, emphasises collaboration with hubs and house in the City of faith to enhance the contextual learning experience for students enrolled at the Seminary Gate including the M.A. (Theology) cohorts and the ISAC program under OATH.
The Director is responsible for stewarding relationships with collaborative partners, overseeing International Students Advisory Council (ISAC program), and coordinating with Oikos Associates Trust House (OATH) leadership on academic matters. Specific duties include:
Collaborative Partnerships: The Director will work closely with Admissions (Gen. Sec. Office) to facilitate student placements, vet accelerator sites, and optimise human and talent capital among students, hub and houses within the wider Seminary Gate in multiple-time zones. Regular training sessions for supervisors and mentors will be organised to ensure effective support for students.
Internship Oversight: The Director will provide orientation for new students, maintain communication with internship sites, and facilitate the internship matching process. Regular evaluations and consultations with faculty will ensure that students receive the necessary support and guidance throughout their internship experience.
Challenged-based Agile Management (C-BAM): The Director will oversee the orientation for students applying to C-BAM modules including SOLE agile projects and study accelerators to manage opportunities for all candidates, and review final reports on campus-set up, curriculum enhancements and general in-country institutional advancement.
Candidates must be a theologically ordained leader within the Non-Levitical Ordination ministry scale, with preferred additional education in spiritual formation or leadership development. Strong administrative, communication, and conflict resolution skills essential for success in this role.
This position operates within a work from home office environment, requiring travel to study accelerators and missional consults approximately 25% of the time. A full-time presence in Singapore, Manila or Chiang Mai is preferred.
