The Director of Advancement at King’s College is a pivotal role that directly influences the institution's fundraising and marketing strategies, thereby advancing its mission and vision. Reporting to the President and serving as a member of the Management Team, the Director is tasked with developing a robust community of financial support, enhancing communication and marketing effectiveness, and managing the advancement support staff.
Key responsibilities include designing a comprehensive five-year development strategy aimed at fostering aggressive growth in both impact and revenue. The Director will serve as the principal liaison between King’s College and its donors, implementing best practices in fundraising and adapting to the evolving marketplace. This role also involves cultivating relationships with various Christian communities and other potential supporters to broaden the school’s financial base.
In terms of marketing, the Director will orchestrate an integrated strategy that strengthens King’s College's brand as a leading institution for theological education. This includes leveraging organisational assets to achieve measurable growth, enhancing the school’s online presence, and maximising direct mail and event programs for financial success.
Furthermore, the Director will oversee the advancement support staff, ensuring effective hiring, training, and evaluation processes, while managing departmental budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.
Candidates should possess theological ordination and have a minimum of ten years of experience in contextual education. A commitment to continuing non-levitical education and strong interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
