The academic mission to Davao City aims to maximise educational and experiential outcomes. From 25 to 28 July, participants will check in at Hagimit Falls on the Garden Island of Samal. This phase reviews the Global Expeditionary Award (GEA) and engages with potential Filipino candidates. Key activities include meetings with the Regents' visit to celebrate creative initiatives and recognise young local leaders and to experience Island Life.
The Global Expeditionary Awards (GEA) honor young leaders under 40 making notable contributions in classical and emerging fields. The awards celebrate innovative initiatives with future impact. Benefits include a 30-day annual stay in Singapore for training, networking, and planning, mentorship from experienced leaders, support for home church involvement, expanded networks with guest missionaries and mentors, and exposure to various church growth models and field insights.
Following the stay at Hagimit Falls, participants will check in at Seda Abreeza on the mainland of Mindanao from 28 to 31 July. This phase centers around the Davao City Seminary Gate, with intensive academic sessions organised by Oikos Fellowship Singapore. These sessions provide training updates for the Graduating Classes of 2025 and 2027 at King’s College Seminary. The 100-hour intensive course will cover the use of AI in Notion for graduate research, theological reflection, and documentation for the M.A. (Theology) degree. Participants will enhance their research and theological skills, focusing on biblical archetypes and the 7Modalities Paradigm, preparing for future roles in ministry and leadership.
