Geylang Revival Commission (GRC) in collaboration with Direct Assist to Victims in Trauma (DAVT)

We affirm:

That the ecclesial communities in Geylang have chosen to unite together today as signified in our visitors this weekend from across this island and from all points of the compass.

That prophetic “open womb” is our God-given responsibility and joy as Christ’s bride prepared to carry on the tradition of life and liberation by the Spirit.

That a theology of liberation means freedom from contemporary forms of slavery, trafficking, trauma, trouble.

That this is a liberation not made of guns, by force, by threats or violence but so that this community can experience God’s love and pass it on which is our present concentration.

That this freedom exists only where Jesus is known and loved apart from religious deception freed from ancient hostilities, free of lawlessness, of antisemitism, of human secularism, of passivity or lukewarmness.

We fully expect this community to shift from from condemnation to commendation, for there is “no condemnation in Christ”; neither is there shame, or guilt or disappointment. That without being told what to do, we will do what we know in our heart to do to make things right with our neighbour and with our enemies, to be at peace.

That we have an opportunity once again to be part of the story God is telling in Geylang That we shall stand together with others in this area to make an impact in the next generation encountering The Father’s Heart.

That Geylang shall be called more than a conqueror, more than a liberator, more than victorious because we serve a true king in heaven, known and loved on earth as “Our Father”.

Conclusion: “Geylang bless God” is our prayer and “Every soul is ordained for greatness” is our pledge and constitution.
