In the same way that the Tribes of Israel are symbolized by the vine, interconnected and unified by their covenantal relationship with the Divine, the Church at Laodicea is called to embody this unity through the mantle of compassion. The vine’s growth and fruitfulness, nurtured by faith and adherence to God's teachings, mirror the church’s mission to extend mercy and compassion. This mantle serves as a testament to their intercessory role, reflecting God's enduring faithfulness and compassion through acts of charity and justice, much like how the blood of grapes signifies empathy and the covenant of mercy.
