Vines - Signifies the richness and abundance of God's blessings, as powerfully illustrated in the fruitful vineyards of Israel where the wild is brought into the cultivated through the wisdom of the tribe. In John 15:1-5, Jesus declares "I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser... I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit." This imagery is further enriched in Psalm 80:8-11, where Israel is described as a vine brought out of Egypt: "You brought a vine out of Egypt; you drove out the nations and planted it. You cleared the ground for it; it took deep root and filled the land." The vine represents not only abundance but also the careful tending and cultivation required for spiritual growth, as emphasized in Isaiah 5:1-2: "My beloved had a vineyard on a very fertile hill. He dug it and cleared it of stones, and planted it with choice vines."

The divine calling to meet needs and address difficulties, distress, or deficiencies in people, systems, or situations, as exemplified in Matthew 25:35-36: "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me." Individuals with this gift seek to alleviate pain, suffering, handicaps, limitations, or inabilities, following Christ's example who "went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed" (Acts 10:38).
Grapevine
Grape-vine symbolises the principle of eleemosynary intervention, communicating needs within the tribe to bring clarity of mind through right discernment, reflecting Jesus's words in John 15:5: "I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit." This principle involves evaluating causes with great focus, addressing immediate dangers, resolving outstanding issues, and realigning the community back to soundness and good judgment. As Isaiah 61:3 declares, we are called to "provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes." This mission of restoration is further emphasized in Galatians 6:2: "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ," demonstrating how the community is strengthened through mutual support and intervention.
